Krypteria Get The Hell Out Of My Way I think they are a pretty underrated band, a few songs they have are great. Somewhat similar to Nightwish I guess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-8DJRrWczU
Judging by their songs, which rock, and their fans it seems like they will be around for a while. For now it feels a bit strange liking them since they are like 15 and 16 year old girls but in a couple years it won't be so odd. They will be around a while I guess it shouldn't matter since they are just having fun. I saw that song, didn't like it as much as this one, but personally I'm more of a power metal fan.
Well, if we're including songs from computer games now... (nobody seems to have uploaded the actual video from the game itself, for some reason, so you'll have to be content with just this image!)
Oh, great. Arrogant metal fans have infected these forums, too.
Nah, they've been here a while. The last metal thread was 20x more arrogant than this one has been thus far. So it would seem that things have improved.
Some "stoner metal" for y'all - Blood and Thunder by Mastodon. Their (bad) vocalist keeps me from getting very into them, but they're still decent IMO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-Su1YXQYek
I saw someone post Rob Zombie. I am now going to push the definition of "metal" AKA post 90's hard rock and somebody is gonna be butthurt about it and try to start a flame war over my "questionable music taste" or whatever the crap. 7 Words - Deftones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsUWqNQdTws
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kFDU04PA-o King Diamond - A Mansion In Darkness This is the song that really got me into metal. The album artwork of Abigail is awesome. It would be cool if it was a painting, I would want to buy it.
Has anyone else heard of the Chinese/Mongolian metal band Tengger Cavalry? For me, this has to be the first time I encountered the Mongolian Folk Metal & North Asian Nomadic Folk Metal genre. Usually I'm more into Finnish, Germanic and Celtic Folk Metal. But these guys here have a really refreshing sound to them, which intrigues me quite a lot.
@FinneousPJ True... their music would feel even more exotic if lyrics where written in one of the Mongolic languages. But then again, having English texts allows the band to approach the international market as well. In any case, I hope to see Tengger Cavalry publishing "double albums" at some point like Korpiklaani does for example; one CD with English lyrics, the other in their native tongue.
