I love the original poem and for my homebrew D&D setting I base my Drow more off of this sort of evil fey creature. My Elves/Drow are more like the Seelie/Unseelie fey as opposed to Tolkien styled Elves or D&D Elves/Drow.
One more, since I didn't see any Tyr in here. If you folks haven't heard of Tyr, they're a folk metal band out of the Faroe Islands. I love their style a lot. I was introduced to them via a dude on a NWN2 PW that I frequented a few years back. I've become rather evangelistic about them since shortly after that. And I'm not going to lie, they play right into my D&D gamer sensibilities.
When I think of the magnitude and scope of Operation OVERLORD, I can't help but get chills. I'm a fan of 'battle metal' as it is, so sharing this comes easy.

A RHAPSODY OF FIRE!
And Luca Turilli in general. I love Luca Turilli. I should make a half-elf Bard after him.
Yet no damn Vader. One of the best and oldest Death Metal bands around that still not only go strong but they are better than ever.
Vader - Sword of the Witcher
Vader - Decapitated Saints
Vader - Hexenkessel
Also, one of my favorite Death Metal songs ever.
Vader - Carnal
And lastly, here's some mastery over Death Metal.
Bloodbath - Brave New Hell
EDIT: There are browser extensions that can help you bypass locked videos.
Morbid Angel God of Emptiness
and probably my favorite Rhapsody (of Fire) song.
and then some more Luca Turilli stuff.
Tobias Sammet's AVANTASIA - Ghostlights
THE song for singing under the shower!

The best version of Replica, sorry Fear Factory.

Orginal poem by Goethe, composition by Schubert (not metal)

Have some Amon Amarth. I dig this new album a bunch.

Old school metal. Flotsam And Jetsam - I Live You Die Demo version
That video from February gave me a few more bands to sample, @Buttercheese. I appreciate it.
Let me add one of my all time favorite songs ever. Coldness Kills by the Austrian band Serenity
