I love the original poem and for my homebrew D&D setting I base my Drow more off of this sort of evil fey creature. My Elves/Drow are more like the Seelie/Unseelie fey as opposed to Tolkien styled Elves or D&D Elves/Drow.
One more, since I didn't see any Tyr in here. If you folks haven't heard of Tyr, they're a folk metal band out of the Faroe Islands. I love their style a lot. I was introduced to them via a dude on a NWN2 PW that I frequented a few years back. I've become rather evangelistic about them since shortly after that. And I'm not going to lie, they play right into my D&D gamer sensibilities.
When I think of the magnitude and scope of Operation OVERLORD, I can't help but get chills. I'm a fan of 'battle metal' as it is, so sharing this comes easy.
