While I am super happy that this is happening, I am a little miffed because Baldur's Gate 1/2 never got this same treatment (which, honestly, was the only thing I wanted from the Enhanced Editions).

I imagine it is due to different licenses, but after the court case thingy from a way back, is there any chance of finally getting the cut content from the Baldur's Gate series restored properly or is that a pipe dream and anything related to the original game still remains off-limits?

    To be fair, some components from BG1UB, like Quoningar the Cleric, Shilo Chen, and Edie at the Merchants League were already in the original game, complete with NPC and dialogue files, so I don't see why it can't be included.

    BG/BG2 UB, on the other hand, have multitudes of contributors, many of whom are simply gone. Without the ability to get their permission, it leaves Beamdog in the position of having to develop that content on their own.

    Sorry, didn't see the previous mention of it. It's just a dream I have, to have all of the cut content restored and loose ends tied up.

    Maybe, one day.
