Thanks to the combined work of Nightfarer (translation) and Gertwenger (review), the famous Blasinger kit from Misdrha'al Hymmet (french community) is finally available in english
This kit can be used on BG2, BGT, All EE editions and EET, for PC and Mac.
Summary of the kit (for an elven fighter) :
BLADESINGER: Among the High Elves, magic is ubiquitous. It is very rare to see one who cannot cast some little cantrip from a very early age. Bladesingers are a caste that consist of highly trained fighters who combine a perfect mastery of their weapon with the ability to use powerful spells. A potent combination.
The Bladesinger knows how to manipulate the flow of magic around him to protect himself and augment his abilities. In addition, he is also able to mold magical energy to his will to cast spells.
However, there are a few trade-offs to such power. First, he must keep one hand free to be able to cast magic. Magic requires somatic gestures to be turned at the will of the conjurer.
Second, he must not wear any armor. To compensate for this, a Bladesinger is given specialised armor during training which is tailor-made and allows him to cast will offer protection. The armor is also a badge of identification and a Bladesinger will not willingly part with it.
Advantages:
- Strengthening magic: +1 strength.
- Force Shield: -1 to Armor Class every 2 levels.
- He can cast spells like a wizard. He gains spells every two levels on average:
Level 1: Druid Spells 1
Level 3: Enchantment Spells 1
Level 5: Evocation Spells 1
Level 8: Druid Spells 2
Level 10: Enchantment Spells 2
Level 12: Evocation Spells 2
Level 15: Druid Spells 3
Level 18: High Magic
- At level 21, the Bladesinger achieves the "Ultimate Mastery", a secret reserved for the highest members of his caste. One extra use of the ability is gained at levels 23, 25, 28, 31, 35 and 38.
Disadvantages:
- Bladesingers train in long-blade swords. They cannot handle other weapons.
- They cannot wear armor other than elven chain mail.
- Their off-hand must be free in order to cast spells.
ULTIMATE MASTERY: This ability significantly improves the abilities of the Bladesinger. By invoking this ability, for 2 rounds, he:
- Gets 5 attacks per round.
- Gets +3 to attack, +2 damage and +2 to armor class.
- Can cast chain spells and casting speed improves by 4.]

I have myself made a true fighter/mage bladesinger kit in my kits pack mod (https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/60725/mod-the-deratiseur-unused-kits-pack-for-bg2-bgt-and-all-ee-versions-in-french-and-english-v15)
I will made a new topic for my mod at this time, but for now, don't forget we are here for The Bladesinger kit from Misdrha'al Hymmet.
Had the same problem with few other mods for bg:ee though, so it might be something on my side.
Now at zip format, more commun.
Looks like Xan's gonna have a new class and kit for this playthrough.
XD
The "true Bladesinger" inspired by the one in the Complete Book of Elves is in my kits mods : https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/60725/mod-the-deratiseur-unused-kits-pack-for-bg2-bgt-and-all-ee-versions-in-french-and-english-v15
This rendition of the kit does seem like an interesting interpretation though. A few druid spells for a race that gets cantrips makes some sense, although elves can't actually be druids for some reason that I never understood. I don't think I'm crazy about the restriction to long bladed weapons though. A true bladesinger could use the bladesong with any small or medium one-handed weapon, even if most used long swords. Ultimate Mastery seems a little OP to me as well, especially on top of a potential 19 str.
But all in all, very cool that this mod has been translated- thanks!
The original archive was updated.
The only armour you can use is Elven Chainmail right...? You can't cheat for this item with the console, can't get it using EEKeeper, and the item isn't anywhere in the game...
The kit has the opcode of the metamorph"no armor allowed" and wear a special crafted armor that bypass the limitation. This is simple and don't cause incompatibilities.
Code what you want force to change this and can be made in two ways : 1. remove the "no armor allowed" and patches all the armors in the game except for the elvens to not been allowed to the bladesinger (and and also all kits that use the same unasable code, so ... NO for this option) or 2. apply the same craft to the elvens chains so also enable thems for the metamorph, so NO for the option too...)
Thank you in advance, take care all.
Must be: (i really have to correct the english translation)
He have acces to a few divine/druidic spells. The spell list is in the readme.
Thank you again and sorry for asking again, but so far I didn't have a clear answer. Take care all.
When I import my bladesinger from BP1 to BP2 your armor disappears. How do I fix this?
