Imoen Leaving With Reputation Drop?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
For some reason I thought that Imoen would always complain when you did evil things, but would never leave your party. In fact, her biography mentions that "she will always be willing to travel with you, no matter what path you take." I recently had a huge rep dump and she dropped from the group. Was this changed with the Enhanced Edition, or has she always been this way? I must admit -- I usually don't take her as a party member for very far, so I could be way off on my thinking.

    I had it happen in TuTu a while back, so it has been like that for a while. I can't say for certain if it was like that in the original game though. I'd suspect that it was always like that. But your rep needs to be like 2 or 1 for it to happen.

    Consider it revenge for leaving her all those times.

    In vanilla BG1, Imoen would leave, but wouldn't "disappear" like the other unhappy NPCs, so she could still be re-recruited. I don't know whether this was intended behavior or a bug, but it has been "fixed" in BG:EE.
