Help me assembling my first party

Hi all, I would like to create a small party of cool characters (maybe
4?) making use of some of the new kits. I am very undecided but I
would like some spoiler free tips, let's say I am 60% roleplayer 40%
powergamey.

Can your recommend which kits fits more the mood and setting of IWD
without spoiling anything about the plot? I read somewhere that undead
unter paladins really fit the amount of undead enemies in the game.
And which weapon proficiency would you pic of each kit/multi you suggest?

Hey Funkave! I'll throw one out there for you:

Human Undead Hunter - Long Sword / Shield
Half Orc Barbarian - Dual Flails
Dwarf Priest of Tempus - Sling / Shield or Mace / Shield
Gnome Illusionist / Thief - Shortbow

If you are looking for 4 characters, not sure how you can go wrong here. You've got 2 beefy frontliners, 2 ranged casters. The pureclass cleric is going to get you levels and spells very quickly (load up on heals early). The illusionist / thief can provide CC and scouting, and decent arrow slinging. But the star will be your barbarian. Just watch and laugh as zombies and fiends EXPLODE under the weight of his morning stars.

If you consider adding members to your party, I'd recommend a Bard for support, and a Druid for their amazing divine repertoire.

    Best of luck to you!

A small party of cool characters making use of some of the new kits:

    FMT
    FMC...

Basically, after these two guys, you can take ANYONE you like, so even

    Priest of Tempus
    Priest of Tyr

    - both new kits can be tested in one run.

But to me, a party in IWD without a bard is not a party. And if you don't see druidic spells in this game, you miss much!

    So,

    Bard (unkitted) Crossbows, Longbows
Priest of Tempus Flails/Hammers and Shield
    Totemic Druid Quarterstaff and Darts
    FMT Dual-wielding longswords

Couldn't ask for a better answer, thank you! (And yes, the true bard song selection is definitely something appealing)
