#10033 [All] Snow Maiden's Reaver's damage should not be shown as 0d4.

edited November 2014 in IWD:EE Bugs (v1.4.0)
Steps To Reproduce:

1. Load the attached save.
2. View the first character's inventory or character panel. Observe that the Snow Maiden's Reaver's damage is listed as 0d4.
3. Go fight the lizardfolk to the east. Observe that the character does 4-10 damage on each hit.

Expected:

- The inventory or character panel should show 2d4+2 damage for this weapon.
- The character should do 7-13 damage due to the +3 from 18/61 strength.

Notes:

Windows 7, unmodded / unedited game. No idea if this happens on other platforms; I only have a Windows machine.

Inventory and Record Screens only shows a weapons base physical damage. This weapon only deals cold damage, and therefor it does not show up. As its description indicates, it's basically a cold-based light-saber, no physical blade = no strength bonus.

Hmm, that makes sense I guess, but there's still the issue that the screens display "3-3 damage" but the character does 4-10 damage.

That makes the weapon *quite* horrible. Besides, just because its blade is made of cold doesn't mean it doesn't have substance or force behind it (at least in my mind).

Ah but who are we kidding? Its a cold based weapon in IWD, it sucks anyway. Heals a lot of things actually.

There actually is a strength bonus, which is why the character record shows 3-3.
I think the issue is that elemental damage is not usually dealt 100% of the time, so it isn't listed as part of the base damage. We'll have a look and see if this makes sense to change.

    Thanks for looking into this!

If there's supposed to be a strength bonus, then it isn't working. Like I mentioned, the character does 4-10 damage with this weapon. With a +2 bastard sword and +3 from strength, it should be impossible to do less than 7 points of damage.
