I want to show you this, I am in the Vale of Shadows, just killed the Yeti Chieftain and entered the Yeti lair:
The way this is reproduced is by entering the Vale Shadows after leaving Kuldahar for the first time, then basically going to the yeti cave without a reason. It happened in Vanilla as well.
That string is only referenced in Baldemar's dialogue. Without the ability to reproduce this problem and investigate why it's happening, we can't fix it.
@GemHound I can reproduce using that save but not if I try from scratch. You have various items which are not available at the start of the game and have said there are no mods, were these items added in via a game editor and if so, which one. Or were these characters imported from somewhere, and if so where from (e.g. original game or original game saves).
& you say this also happens on the original game too. Are you using the same saves/edits on both?
I suspect it is something wrong with your save rather than the fault of either game, and you might well encounter other issues if you were to continue your game.
@Gate70 No, I imported characters from BG1 for this game, but past parties have been fully created in the Icewind Dale game. It has happened to me 3 times in the Yeti Cave, twice in Easthaven, once at Dragon Eye and once at Dorn's Deep with Vanilla. It has happened twice with the EE already.
Your 2nd character Nassi, most times she attacks there is an extra message - I tried force-attacking other party members.
& changing her voice to the default clears the issue for me. What voice did you create her with - all your party members say nothing until I change them so I think you must have custom voices defined.
@Gate70 The voices I had on them in BG were on them for that save, for the yeti cave, I had already replaced the voices. I am using voices created by Beamdog and Black Isle.
@ScottBrooks It was still happening in my game where I had already changed the voices over to the Icewind Dale voice sets, AND this also happens when I make a full group of new characters. Every Icewind Dale game I have played, EE and Vanilla, has had this appear at least once before it is supposed to that is.
Also, if you notice in the save, the voice sets from BGEE actually play in the chatbox, but don't say anything out loud.

Also, I'm going to split this off because it's not a typo.
It seems to aim at a paladin-type character, even if they are not the leader. Nassi is a Blackguard if that means anything.

This happened with both the GOG version and the Disc version as well.
