[Not an Issue] Can't ask Tiernon about Young Rage upgrade unless talking char has it in inventory

it shouldn't work like this, it's inconsistent with how dialogues work in the game.
it's also way too easy to miss.
when talking to the mage later to execute the upgrade this doesn't apply and everyone has the convo option.

- Gorris talked, no option initially. Talked again immediately and the option was there.

You don't know Edion is a necromancer until you speak with him.
all this was in a single visit to tiernon, the second encounter i've had with him, after talking to the hag
i first spoke with tiernon with character A, there were 3 dialogue options. i shopped around and proceded to exit the cave.
before i got out i realized i forgot to buy something, immediately went back with character B who was holding Young Rage and then the fourth convo option (axe upgrade) inexplicably appeared.
i mistakenly concluded that it appeared because of what char B was carrying.
i didn't even know about the upgrade feature it was new to me and i was very surprised (good job there, it's wonderful)
i didn't do any testing at that time and since moved on with the game. i wanted to but couldn't at the moment.
I tried to frame the YR upgrade the same way as the Ice Rose. You don't have the option right off the bat; it should only start turning up once you know Tiernon (and his abilities) a little better.
And yeah, for the record, it is a party inventory check for the axe, so who speaks to Tiernon will not matter.
Thanks

lol i was just about to post in that thread you just closed
here was my post to camdawg before the forum bugged out. i'd still like him to comment on it.
"ah i see.
so that's also how the ice rose convo option works? didn't notice that.
i get the idea, but frankly i think it creates problems because there's a perception of bugginess.
your interpretation of this is nice but other people might not see this as "getting to know each other better" but simply as a strange inconsistency.
maybe it could be implemented in a different way.
i propose that the option only becomes available if you go back to tiernon after the hag. the game already suggests that in the dialogue with her.
it shouldn't be available before then, but anytime after the hag encounter - no additional requirements."
