    Mercenary Militia:
    Captain - Fighter
    Lieutenant - Fighter (Dwarven Defender)
    Chaplain - Fighter dual Cleric
    Emissary - Sorcerer
    Specialist - Fighter dual Thief
    Minstrel - Bard

    Fellowship of the Dale:
    Knight - Paladin (Undead Hunter)
    Squire - Fighter
    Rogue - Fighter dual Thief
    Scribe - Cleric
    Sage - Sorcerer
    Apprentice - Fighter dual Mage

So far these are my parties (lvl1 HoF runs). The former is currently on a diplomatic mission for Lonelywood while the latter is venturing in the lower Dorn's Deep.

I'd go for more pure class but HoF mode forced me to powergame! *Points fingers at difficulty level*

I like this, but I'd call Iron Man a Mage (or sorcerer) ...call his Stoneskin the armor. Make him a high-functioning sociopath with maxxed int and you pretty much have the same character as Tony Stark.

Good Point and if he needs to fight hand to hand, Tenser's Transformation. Lightning Bolt for his energy blasts.

@Jaemon If he's a Druid, he gets Iron Skins rather than Stoneskin. Seems more apropos.

    Two words: Iron Body.

I have two ideas; please let me know what you think, who would you change?

    1) Undead Slayers:

    Human Undead Hunter

Elf Archer (Favored Enemy: Cadaverous Undead)

    Human Priest of Lathander

    Human Sun Soul Monk

    Elf Necromancer

    Half Elf Swashbuckler

Swashbuckler here serves a melee backup and someone to deal with the traps, but I think it can be replaced with another option.

    2) Survivors in Wilderness:

Dwarven Defender (Because it's Icewind Dale!)

Elf Archer (Favored Enemy: Giant/Troll or some other savage creature)

Half Elf Avenger (or Totem Druid)

Human Priest of Tempus (could go first as a Berserker/Barbarian and then dual to Cleric)

    Half Elf Dragon Disciple

    Half Elf Skald

This option lacks someone to disarm traps, but I'm not sure whether its that necessary?

    So what you think folks?

  • 8-Bit Theater Party!

Fighter McWarrior: Neutral Good Human Berserker who Grandmasters in Long Swords, Bastard Swords, Two-Handed Swords, and Short Swords. Because he likes them, you know. Also dump Int hard.

Black Mage Evilwizardington: Chaotic Evil Human Invoker. Only take blasty spells; helping your teammates is for chumps!

Thief, the Elf formerly known as Prince: Lawful Evil Thief, possibly Shadowdancer. Max out pick pockets and open lock ASAP. Find traps too, I guess. Has first dibs on all the loot; technically it's all his, and he just loans his stuff to the other party members for exorbitant fees.

Red Mage Statcowski: Neutral Evil Half-Elf Fighter/Mage/Cleric. Possibly use a mod to allow him to use swords, though that isn't super important. What is important is that he have perfect stats; min-maxer, after all.

White Mage: Lawful Good Human Priest of Lathander. The only lady on the team, and the only one keeping them alive. Wonders why she travels with them at all. Carries a big hammer at all times.

Black Belt: Lawful Neutral Monk. He has perfected the zen art of punching through people's faces. Like Fighter, also super-dumped Int.

Thyra - Human Fighter (Sword, Shield, Heavy Armor)

Anyone else here have a crush on Thyra when they were a kid?

In retrospect, her name was a fitting allusion to her best asset(s).

BTW, thanks to everyone here for some really interesting ideas. From an RP standpoint, I've been having trouble trying to compile a party in my mind that would've made sense to have set out on a journey together (in contrast to BG, where your motley collection of followers form bonds over the course of your travels). At the same time, a party that is too "similar" (i.e: a party of all clerics and/or paladins) runs the risk of feeling boring IMO. There are some interesting ideas here that balance both interests very well IMO.

After recently watching Brett Ratner's "Hercules" starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson I decided to create a party based on this band of heroes.

    Hercules - Barbarian
    Autolycus - Swashbuckler
    Amphiarus - Cleric of Tyr
    Atalanta - Archer
    Tydeus - Berserker
    Iolaus - Bard

    Dragonlance:

    Tanthalas "Tanis" Half-Elven Fighter
    Flint Fireforge Dwarven Fighter
Tasslehoff "Tas" Kender (Halfling Thief) -> for some unkown reason named Tolpan in the german tranlation?
    Caramon Majere Fighter
    Raistlin Majere Mage
    Goldmoon Cleric

Not much Kit's, but maybe there are some that fit well.
