Dorn... or the lack thereof.

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I have spoken to him (Dorn) in the Friendly Arm and have repeatedly traveled from Nashkel to the mine. I get a random encounter every time but it's always Hobgoblins and never the bandits. I have reloaded about 20 times now all to no avail. What am I doing wrong? Please guide me! Thank you.

    Also... his quest doesn't seem to be in my journal as it should.

    He shows up in a random encounter later on - it's nothing you're doing wrong.

    I always go to the mine from the Carnival, and that's where it triggers.. Don't know if it matters.

    Sounds like your game is bugged... He always shows up like clockwork when I head to the mines.

    If you upload your save file I may be able to fix it.
