[Intended] Arrows no longer interrupt enemy spellcasters?

This may be "working as intended", I don't know much about the differences between EE and the original IWD, but I distinctly remember that any damage caused to an enemy spellcaster would cancel their spell in progress. Made playing a lot easier.
Now I shoot arrows and connect, but they keep on succesfully launching the spell. Is this a bug, or do I remember incorrectly, or is this a "feature" added? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
I'm not sure what to write down on the steps to replicate, but this is happening with the Acolytes in the temple (the temple after the vale of shadows)
EDIT: I managed to interrupt one. So it's obviously not a bug, there's probably just a percent chance to interrupt. Sorry for wasting your time, go ahead and delete this topic. And while you're at it, if you could explain this to me, I would appreciate it! ^^

http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/comment/342742/#Comment_342742 : in general, about 90% of the time you'll be interrupted when hit; in general, about 60% of the time an enemy won't be (100% for scripted spells).
Also, divine casters are more difficult to interrupt than their arcane counterparts.
