IWDEE on Linux Mint - All Graphics are Missing (but the text seems OK)

Hi,

I've purchased this game through Steam - and am trying to run the native Linux version on Linux Mint (17, Cinnamon 64-bit). I'm using an integrated Radeon HD 4200. Nothing flash - but should be OK?

Game starts and seems stable - but none of the graphics are rendered (see screenshot).

I reeeallly don't want to run this through a windows VM -

any tips??

    Right - for 'closure' i'd like to add that I never solved this particular problem. Some idiosyncrasy of my system meant that the graphics simply were not destined to work in such an environment.

    In the end I set up a small windows partition accessed via duel booting. This windows system is dedicated for IWD:EE. Overkill definitely, but at least it works 100%.

    I'd be curious to what a clean solution might have been - but I am too deep within the dales now to look back...
