Android problem in IWD and BG1 videos not playing

Hi. I have a Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 (version 1) running Android 4.4.4 (http://galaxytabhacks.com/galaxy-tab-10-1-roms/android-4-4-4-root-for-galaxy-tab-10-1-omni/)
When I run both apps on my Galaxy note 4 phone the videos play wonderfully. However, on both subject games the videos never play. The screen flashes for just a moment and then skips to the next part. If I go to options and graphics and try and play a movie it does the same thing. Just simply flashes and returns to the screen. Any thoughts on what may be going on? I literally just loaded a fresh build of Android and have nothing else installed. I'd there a different driver that needs to be loaded? Or a codec? Other than that both games works beautifully. Any help would be much appreciated.
