IWDEE Download slowed to a crawl

Hi there, I saw another guy who posted a similar problem, but unfortunately he didn't post a solution.
My download, using the Beamdog installer. says 2.6 gig of 2.6, but is still downloading. But VERY slowly (a couple of kb /s). The grey status bar is about 98% complete, but it will take me all week to get the remainder at this rate.
Does anyone have any ideas? Using win7 btw

    @bellcrash66‌ you could try pausing the download for 10-15 seconds by clicking on the progress marker which should look like the attached. Click it again to unpause and see if it speeds up.

    A few people who have had this stop at 97-98% have found their downloads work when they try from another internet connection.

    I'm using the stand alone installer. I tried pausing and unpausing - didn't work. I tried uninstalling and starting over, same problem. It's progressing painfully slowly. I'll leave it going overnight, but if anyone has a workaround or other suggestion, I really would appreciate it.
    I don't have access to another Internet connection unfortunately. :(

    Weird. Just got a burst of speed and it downloaded ok. Thanks anyway!
