Monks with Offhand Weapons

I've just recently gotten my Dark Moon Monk into SoA and found Belm. I was amazed when I equipt it to my offhand and I still retained my monk bonus' with fist weapons as well as the APR boost from Belm! So my level 11 monk is running around with 5 APR very early in SoA.

Is this a well known thing to all you monk players out there? It was a pretty sweet surprise to me.

    Yeah, it's broken. Originally, monks had an invisible off-hand item to stop them doing this (which is why they where banned from using staves), but it was removed in the EE.

    The Scarlet Ninjato can do this too with a slightly better enchantment of +3.
