BG1 won't install on a windows surface rt; help.

After the initial download of BG1 EE, I try to run the install and it gives me the text; "This app can't run on your PC. To find apps for this PC, open the Windows Store."

I have a Windows Surface RT with Windows 8 as the operating system, and I have no idea what to do.
