Could not compile OpenGL shaders error

I've got the steam edition of BG2EE. Updated to patch 1.3. When I try to start the game, I get an error saying "Could not compile OpenGL shaders". The game won't start.

I have a GTX 970 and had no problems with the previous version of the game.

    Hi @Rooksx‌
You could try renaming the baldur.ini file in your game documents folder, something like the below. The game should create a new version.

C:\Users\**UserName**\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition

If that doesn't help, we can investigate further.
    Thanks

Is this on Windows & is your graphics card driver current. e.g. for Windows Vista/7/8 32 & 64 bit it looks like GTX 970 cards should have version 344.75 WHQL, released last month.

& consider re-installing BGII:EE from scratch in case the update didn't download/install correctly.

I've got Windows 8.1 64-bit. I had tried using the 344.75 drivers and also using the latest beta drivers, 347.09. I have also done a clean install of the game through the "delete local content" option in Steam and then reinstalling.

OK. What values do you have in your baldur.ini file for these settings.
    Graphics', 'version'
    'Graphics', 'renderer'
    'Graphics', 'vendor'

& confirm you've rebooted after changing drivers or re-installing.
