#18106 Trolls should not produce a spell sound effect when knocked down

When you drop a troll to its "Near Death" prone animation, a spell sound effect plays. It's the same one that plays for Mage spell-protection spells, such as Minor Globe of Invulnerability (tested, it's identical). Possibly related to the "immunities" a downed troll has, which force the mechanic of needing acid/fire to finish them?

Did you use spells like Slow/Glitterdust/Greater Malisson over the Troll? Are you using any mods?

Edit: Also, what Trolls are you attacking/fighting against?

Zero spells on them, completely vanilla. Just smacking them in the face with a variety of weapons - sound plays consistently every time a troll "collapses." This was in Spellhold, happened with normal and spirit trolls.

Do you have a save previous to killing the Trolls? If so please zip/rar the whole '00000### - Saved Game Name' folder in Documents/Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition/save and upload it with the 'Attach a file' option under the comment box. Thanks!

    Hi
I believe this is intentional, to signify when the troll has collapsed and can be killed.

    Thanks

Ah, well then don't mind me. It just seemed rather out of place and I didn't see it in the patch notes, I thought it may have been a glitch.

The explanation I got was that it is a side-effect of fixing troll death so they aren't popping up and down and not dieing like they are supposed to. The engine effect they used to implement the fix included a sound, and removing it would break something else.
