Is Greater Malison effect cumulative?

bernardchubernardchu Member Posts: 44
Greater Malison gives enemies 4 points penalty to their saving throws.
Is this cumulative effect if multiple Greater Malison cast on them?

And furthermore, can Greater Malison effect be resisted with Magic Resistance?

@composter - are you looking at original BG2 or BG2ee? I have a vague recollection that this may have been one of the things fixed in the EEs.

While there did you happen to see a line called "Remove Effects By Resource"? That removes the effects of the previous casting of Greater Malison.

@subtledoctor: There's a lot of stuff that goes into making a game. It's not surprising Bioware never came up with that opcode. They already made 300 others; I'm sure a list that long would have seemed pretty comprehensive at the time.

I view opcode 321 as an example of a Beamdog innovation, not a Bioware mistake.
