I played NWN for years on various servers and just reading the quotes on these posts keeps bringing back crystal clear flashes of auditory memory. So weird.

Is it related to that "Disallowed key characters" message I keep getting whenever I check certain links in Spellhold Studios? And why do a linked download instead of uploading to the beamdog forums like before? I'm simply curious, I'm super-new to modding.

I have no idea as to the why since I have no access to see that side of things, just ever since the site crashed I guess you can only upload PDFs there or something.
I don't want to host here at Beamdog really. I've used SHS since before there was a Beamdog and apparently had an account there in one form or another since 17 Jul 2004. It's been my the main site I've used for mods.
I went ahead and made my own little voice sets of the BG2 character creation voice sets, reformatted for BG1 and edited for audio to match better with the BG1 volume in-game as well as equalizing the volume a bit better during the lines so you can hear them more clearly. The original BG1 voice sets didn't utilize all potential options a custom voice set could do or what some joinable NPCs have with their dialogue, so I added a few of the extra dialogue bits exclusive to how BG2 worked and worked them in with some of the commands or extra banter if you click your character enough.
Only problem is I haven't had any luck figuring out how to do my own subtitles for the lines yet, so if someone else could do those for me that would be awesome.
@smeagolheart I installed these soundsets on IWDEE and I noticed a bug with the Faldorn set. When I click on the character, the selection sound with the subtitle: "Don't talk to me now", sounds like a distorted guitar solo instead of the voice.
So, I've tried to install these soundsets into my BG:EE directory, and the Weidu log is saying the right things after installation, yet the soundsets are not available ingame. I need help getting them to work.
@smeagolheart they installed yet they do not show up, that is for certain. I have the Weidu log telling me it installed and I tried it about 3 times. Is there some sort of setting I have to change in Baldur.ini to get it to work? As its not working.
@GemHound go ahead and post your weidu.log here and I'll take a look at it.
I'd wager to guess that it installed in the wrong directory possibly. You have more than one game installed yes? Maybe you installed for BG2EE and are trying to see it in BGEE?
Check the lang/english/sounds folder to be sure that the audio files are in the right place. The Icewind Dale 2 soundsets installed fine for me, generally you need the installer to be in the game folder to properly recognize the install folder and put things in the right place. For the GOG version it won't be in the x86 programs folder, so I don't know if installing to the Steam folder or something else in the x86 folder causes a permissions issue of some sort to install correctly. You could try running the installer as an administrator and turning off your anti-virus temporarily to make sure there's nothing that could screw with the installation while you're doing it.
I just downloaded it and installed it and it worked fine, I'm using beamdog version.
If like you are saying, it says it installed without error and the files are actually there where they are supposed to be, I'm not sure what else could be wrong. There's no error code and the files are where they are supposed to be.
@thelovebat Thats the thing, the sound files are in the proper language folder and I know I installed it properly in my EE directory, 00766.
Download the BG2 soundsets for BG1 folder I uploaded, put them in the same sounds folder as the other soundsets, and see if they are detected in your game to see if maybe something is causing additional soundsets to not be detected. Manually placing the files in that folder should work on its own, even if the voices are without subtitles that way. I believe if you were to extract the contents of the Icewind Dale 2 soundsets installer, you should have the raw audio files at your disposal as well just to test if manually placing them in the folder has them show up.
@smeagolheart sure I'll try running from the baldur.exe in the folder. Also, I know I don't have the beta as I only have access to the BG2 Beta.
Okay! So running from the Baldur.exe in the folder works... Why does running it from the Beamdog launcher not work?
Well I don't know why using the Beamdog launcher would cause it to not work, but you could post about it in the bugs forum to let them know it's an issue. In the meantime, just go ahead and create a shortcut of the executable directly so you don't launch the game through Beamdog's launcher.
Open up baldur's gate ee from the beamdog launcher. Then open up task manager. Find baldur.exe and right click to "open file location" that will show you the folder and file that you have been actually opening.
yep, its a completely different place - one I don't remember installing it in. That's why this was happening. Oddly enough both access the same documents folder.

If Weidu works on android then it should work.?? Let me know if it works or not I guess.
I can't upload it to Spellhold Studios currently, where the other mods are hosted, though.
Here's a temporary link to download them.

The soundsets are mostly from Team Fortress 2.

Hmm I don't know about versions, but I downloaded this from Spellhold Studios:
http://www.shsforums.net/files/file/1106-awesome-soundsets-vol-2/
It isn't working.
If like you are saying, it says it installed without error and the files are actually there where they are supposed to be, I'm not sure what else could be wrong. There's no error code and the files are where they are supposed to be.
Edit: Your way doesn't seem to work either. I copied a full soundset from the folder and pasted it in the sounds directory.
Hmm wait you said the ones you uploaded...
Edit2: Yours won't show up either.
