Green Box on Map?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I was looking at an area map and somehow I created a green box that I can not get rid of. I tried loading a save game and the green box in the area map is there. How do I get rid of it.

    It has been there since BG1. It never leaves.

    it shows the area your screen covers when in the game

    I can't leave a note on the map anymore

    You should be able to. Just right click on the map screen and something should come up for that. If you are playing on a phone or tablet then I'm not sure what you would do.

    For Android you should hold on the map. This is also true for most other actions that require using the left mouse button.
