TOB: 2nd Challenge - Pocket Plane

I have done all quests and all other challenges for chapters 8 and 9 and I still cannot get the 2nd challenge to trigger...
I have walked in and out of the lava pits (far left on map) with the party several times to trigger the challenge and It does nothing. I can only walk around aimlessly and cop fire damage from the pools.
I have had the dialogue about the hypothetical scenario if Sarevok and I have had been switch places at birth already.
Please help, to me it feels bugged.

    Zip and attach your save game please (the folder containing a gam/sav and various bmp files).

    Try this - I'll try to work out why tomorrow. Would help if you can advise if anything strange happened as it looks like part of it activated but not the cutscene?

    nah nothing happened after the dialogue, nothing triggered this challenge

    I had a look at the script and worked out that the challenge looked to have been started but not completed, so opened the console and set the variable back from 2 to 1, via C:SetGlobal("BeginChallenge2","GLOBAL",1) while paused so I could save without it kicking off.
