Yes, I know this is not a possible combo in the BG/IWD series. However, I was curious if anyone knows of any well known examples of one in any of the books for the multi-class combo. Just curious
I personally know of none such people. But given that this multi-class is only accessible by half-elves, it's no wonder they're so rare. Given that, I imagine you'd have better chances of finding Wizard/Druid dual-class characters than Druid/Mages ones.
I can't think of any, either. Although, Rangers in 1e got mage spells at high(er) levels. Because a druid was considered a subclass of Cleric, it was not eligible for multi-classing in 2e. (Generally, all subclasses- Paladin, Ranger, Druid and Assassin) were not eligible to be multi-classed in. This also went true for classes introduced in Unearthed Arcana, including the Barbarian, Cavalier and Thief-Acrobat. The only one that was allowed was a Cleric/Ranger, and I'm not sure of the reasoning behind that one.
