Final-Save Trouble

So I downloaded BGEE for GoG games.
I have just finished the battle with Sarevok which in turn automatically makes a Final-Save. When I load the Final-Save the game shortly cuts out and goes back to the main menu.
I have tried loading the Final-Save and then creating my own save after but it still cuts out and goes back to the main menu.
Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know how to stop it?

    The final save is for importing into BGII:EE. It isn't intended to be played.

    So does that mean I can't keep playing the game after it and finish off the rest of the quests?

    That's right; you have to finish the quests before you fight the final battle.
