[dupe] Combat music *still* won't stop

Hi, I just started a run on Steam with BG:EE, and the only mods are NPC Project 1.2 and the associated music mod.
I have been *very* disappointed to find out that, once the combat music starts, it will not stop. Ever. Quicksaving does not stop it. Accessing the menu and saving manually does not stop it. The only thing that stops the combat music is to either quit the game, change maps, or enter and exit a building.
Is the music pack that goes with NPC Project causing this annoying bug?
Or, has Beamdog still not addressed it after all this time?
It's so annoying, it's a total dealbreaker for me.
I wasn't getting this problem in my non-Steam Beamdog install, however. Is it a Steam issue, or does it have something to do with NPC Project and music pack 1.2?
I guess I could try restarting my Steam game on a clean install, but, does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?

Still, it's a shame it's not fixed yet.
At this point, I just turn off the music whenever it happens. It wasn't a problem with the prior patches, but it happens consistently in the same areas with the 1.3 patch. The only mods I'm using are UB, Tweaks, and original BG Movies.
