    James Bond of course. But only if represented by either the Roger Moore or Sean Connery avatars.

    007 is too smooth to die.

    Technically Superman, but he has to be the most bland, boring super hero ever so I'm going to pretend he's not there.

    No love for George Lazenby?

    Seriously though, I thought Pierce Brosnan made the best James Bond.

    Roger Moore all the way... His eyebrow alone could defeat many bad guys!
  • Awong124Awong124 Member Posts: 2,643
    I thought Moore was a little too old.

    Actually Daniel Craig is pretty good. I reckon he could take on Drizzt bare handed...

    Daniel Craig Bond was clumsy bordering on oafish (not Craig's fault, just how he was scripted in Casino Royale). Matt Damon Bourne could have taken him easily.

    Ok. 37 votes in and we are way, way, way off topic. Elminister has currently 40% share of the vote. As of yet few have actually discussed how he would manage it in this battle royale... Sorry for the late likes... been commenting from my phone.

    Hm, superman can throw suns and moons and even planets from 'safe distance'. He can strike them wherever they are and find cover in the lava of a volcano in another galaxy. They seem pretty fuc**d to me. ^^

    Wrong, he could take Drizzt with both his arms tied behind his back.

    Irenicus or Elminster because of WISH(Alters Reality :X)

    EDIT: And not only. Time Stop, Protection from Normal Weapons, Protection from Normal Missiles, Improved Invisibility, Finger of Death, Wail of the Banshee... and remember the others can't use scrolls because they are not mages.

    EDIT 2: All the teleport spells as well...

    the answer is McGuiver. That guy with just a few of common things, can create a mass desctruction artifact weapon who kill anyone.

    Wow hard to say let's look

    Darth Vader
    Powerful fighter strong in the force well armored a weapon that can cut trought almost anything
    Drizzt
    Powerful fighter again, very skilled agile can move a lot on the battlefield. he dosent use much his magic trought even if he is a good enough ranger to have them
    Elminster
    One of the most powerful mage on Faerun would probably squash Drizzt without a secound taught if ever they had to fight
    James Bond
    Powerful weaponery, yeah access to nuclear weaponery yes... but in most area he would not use them even if he was about too loose that would kill too many inocent... And he lack protection against magic, or giants robots
    Optimus Prime
    Giant Robots powerful weapons again would hardelly feel a hit on many of thouse fighter, but what could he do agaisnt magic, or superman
    Batman
    His greatest weapon his is mind, he would more often than not come prepared for the fight... how well he would do in a fight against powerful magic user like Elminster or magic weapon equiped fighter like Drizzt, is anyone guess
    Szass Tam
    I pass i don,t know much about him... a lich right?
    Superman
    Normally i would hand down give him the edge since he is basocally invulnerable, he would make scraps out of Optimus Prime... But he is vulnerable to magic... so....
    Irenicuss- Manshoon
    Both powerful mages... Both nowhere near Elminster... so they are eliminated de facto

    so i really don,t know

    I voted Darth Vader, but that's only if we are discussing the one from the books and games as opposed to the movies. He's actually *much* more powerful than people know, and his extremely limited lightsaber style is reinforced by his drastically amplified command of the dark side of the Force. During the entire fight, he psychologically and emotionally batters his opponent through the Force, and I don't think many characters would have fun rolling 1-3 saves per round against something that is nearly impossible for them to resist, as they have no "Force shield" or "Force resistance" at all.

    Elminster has a hope of winning, but that's assuming that magic and the Force can combat and possible negate one another. Otherwise, he's in serious trouble.

    I would have voted for Superman, but as we know that he *can* die/be defeated from combat and not just kryptonite (Doomsday took him down), I have to look elsewhere. Granted...he could just rip Darth Vader's mask off and fly "faster than a speeding bullet" into outer space, or he could fly to Tatooine and start turning back time to when Anakin was younger.

    I guess there is hope for Superman afterall.

    Has anyone read Elminster in Hell? Also this thread, special notice to the copied post below:

    Elminster's Evasion is a special, wish-powered, chain contingency that Elminster has active on him at all times, canonically.

    It *bamfs* him off to a special extradimensional safehold where he can rest up, or be re-rezzed, if he's ever having a bad day. The *bamfing* also sends a magical message to the Simbul and one other Chosen, telling them that he's had to bail out of something nasty and to get over to the Safehold and reinforce him immediately.

    The six trigger points for the contingency are:

    1. His death
    2. The loss of his mental faculties (sleep, feeblemind, etc.)
    3. The loss of his physical faculties (paralyzation, petrifaction, etc.)
    4. The destruction of both upper limbs
    5. The destruction of his total body volume
    6. His uttering the command word (i.e. -- voluntary trigger)
    utterance of the word “Thaele.”

    Immunities: Elminster is, by virtue of his nature as a Chosen of Mystra, immune to:

    * Aging (edit -- *and* he has no maximum age. He is immortal, at least in the will 'never die of natural causes, ever' sense.)
    * Disease
    * Disintegration
    * Poison
    * Sleep

    Silver Fire: Elminster may call upon the Silver Fire of Mystra for any one of these effects at a time, once per round, without using an action. All effects are as if cast by a 20th-level sorcerer, where applicable

    * Duplicate the effect of a Ring of Warmth.
    * Duplicate the efefct of a Ring of Mind Shielding.
    * Banish all external magical compulsions upon the wearer as per Greater Dispelling.
    * Function without food or drink for up to 7 days out of a tenday.
    * Dispel a dead magic zone or antimagic shell, permanently (this effect may be used only once every 70 minutes).

    If I was Elminster... I would start by making myself invisible, then summoning the biggest beast I could (A Balor?) Now when everyone is looking the other way, I would creep up ona few of my adversaries and cast TimeStop. Wham! Rip off Vaders mask. Bam! Decapitate Drizzt. Thank you! Electric Bolt Optimus. Maam! Finger of Death Batman. Smack! Horrid wilt Superman, spoon food him kryptonite if needed. Bang! Szass Tam, Irenicus and Manshoon would die under an onslaught of silver fire! Elminster is the BOSS!
  • BjjorickBjjorick Member Posts: 1,208
    @anduin if i was elminster, dominate on superman, order him to defend me, sit back with in a comfy chair with a cold drink and watch the carnage.
  • TalvraeTalvrae Member Posts: 315
    @Bjjorick Then Batman would use kryptonite to defeat Superman and trick Elminster in a dead magic zone
  • BjjorickBjjorick Member Posts: 1,208
    @talvrae i think batman would win myself, stupid confusing ballot :P
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
    @Talvrae @Bjjorick

    Just worked out how James Bond can win!

    He goes off and pumps The Simbul for information... *waggles eyebrows* He then confronts Elminster. The Simbul 'was' Elminsters lover... Elminster gets mad, tries to kill Bond... The Simbul jumps in the way to save Bond and is killed. Elminster is stricken with grief, and gladly accepts the cap in the head from Bond!

    Yes 1-0 to Bond!
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
    Damn forgot about raise dead...
  • BjjorickBjjorick Member Posts: 1,208
    @anduin lol, so basically bond wins by sleeping with everyone elminster cares about......yeah, that would be his only chance :P
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
    @Bjjorick That's how he does it normally...
  • BjjorickBjjorick Member Posts: 1,208
    @anduin well, you are what you eat, and not in a good way....

    Bond is such a pussy. he would die first :)
