Game crashes when starting a new game, in SoA this is right after Imoen has her first dialogue with you (after freeing you from your cell) and in ToB the game crashes after character creation when you click to accept and play.
BP2 still works fine, can create new games and import saved characters without a crash.
BG2EE worked for a while previously and its only after the latest patch for BGEE came out and I installed it that BG2EE stopped being able to create new games.
I can load previously saved games in SoA and ToB most of which work fine, but I also can't import characters into saved multiplayer games or begin a new multiplayer game or single player game.
I joined the beta and have submitted a report of a crash in a new SoA single player game with new character and a new ToB multiplayer game using imported characters.
Platform is Galaxy Samsung S4 (GT-I9505), Android 5.0.1.
Hi, I left a message on the Google Groups for Beamdog Beta Testing about the Android OS 5.0.2 blackscreen bug in all Beamdog games. I even opted in for beta testing. I own a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet and I can't continue my game because of said bug. Can anyone confirm that this has been fixed in the beta build? If not, how can I post a memory dump or anything that will help you guys sort this issue?
A bit of an update: so, I tried Icewind Dale EE and Baldur's Gate I EE they both worked fine. Google Play even mentioned it in the What's new section that Android 5.0.2 on Samsung should not be an issue anymore. Unfortunately BG 2 EE doesn't state that and it is still in blackscreen.
Final update: So, I finally managed to install the beta patch from Google Play. I had to first uninstall the retail version of the game and then opt-in for the BG II beta test using the link you guys provided. After installing the game I had to move it to my SD Card through the Settings menu. At least the Settings has access to SD Card writing. After that I restarted my tablet. Finally the Update appeared in Google Play and I only had to install it, it was about 2.42 Gigs. All old saves are working fine and the blackscreen is gone.
I'm running BG2EE beta version 1.3.2064 on a Samsung Galaxy TabPRO SM-T900 12.2" with unrooted Android 5.1.1, build LMY47X.T900UEUBOI2. The store version 1.3, date December 16, 2014, opened to a black screen.
The beta version opens correctly and seems to run fine. I had the same trouble with BGEE, but not with IWD. BGEE since, seems to have been corrected with the last retail release.
Everything I've tried in BG2EE so far, behaves as expected, but I have not thoroughly tested it. After I get the IAP content (later today or tomorrow), I will test that as well.
I will read through other beta posts and see what else I need to try. In the meantime, I want to let Beamdog know of my success so far with this tablet.
I will keep you apprised of any problems I may find.

In The Throne of Bhaal, in the opening fight sequence, my UI got confused. Please see the attached file for a screenshot. I basically lost my command bar and an empty pick-up-all bar was displayed (I did not activate it). The pick-up-all bar was on top of any other UI element that was displayed, including in the middle of any dialogs. The attached screenshot was after I sent the game to the background, then brought it back to the foreground in an attempt to rectify the problem.
I saved the game and reopened it, but the UI was still messed up. When I was finally able to interact with the enviornment again (I was sent to a cut-scene dialog while the UI was misbehaving) and tapped on an item on the ground, after dismissing the item's add-to-inventory UI, my command bar returned.
I haven't had a lot of time to beta, but I will load the regular BG2EE and see if the UI messes up there, at any point. I will report my findings.
Any questions, please ask.
BTW, the water displays correctly on my system.
EDITED: Please note, I have not yet been able to reproduce the error with any of the BG2EE games.
i have a Samsung galaxy tab pro SM-T900 running lollipop 5.1.1 Game version says 1.3 and i still have the black screen issue and i am unable to join the beta as it keeps telling me "App not available for this account

I have no idea what this means i own the game but have yet to be able to play it. playing BG EE is getting old with how many times i have now played it through.
After some research this issue seems to have been going on for almost a year now. Preferably if possible i would like to transfer the licence to my steam account instead of waiting on whatever fix may or may not come to resolve this issue on the android platform.
@Blade2G I had to uninstall the regular version to get the beta to install. I also read others had to do the same. If you have any BG2EE games saved, be sure to back them up first.
I, too, am running a SM-T900.
If you follow the instructions on this topic's first post, it links you to all the correct pages. Just try following the instructions a little closer and make sure the account you use to join the community is the same account you used to purchase BG2EE in Google Play.
I cannot walk you through joining the tester's group because that option is no longer available to me, but you have to join the private Beamdog Beta Google community the instructions link you to.
If you are a beta tester, it will say "You are a tester" at the bottom of the page step 2 links to.
This thread is not closed... is the beta is still running? I'm playing BG2 on Android, the current version is 1.3 ... it's quite a gap with the current PC version of 2.3
Comments
The crash happens on devices with a certain hardware configuration. It will be resolved in the next update.
Still runs flawlessly.
EDIT: Just for info.
BP2 still works fine, can create new games and import saved characters without a crash.

I did not install BGEE on this phone.
Multiple crash reports sent, hopefully someone gets back to me at some point...
Thank you very much guys!
