android 1.2 save game problem with 1.3 beta

Ive recently reinstalled the game on my galaxy tab now that i have beta access. When i try to load a save game i have either one the following problems.

1) i get and error that says unable to load because of unknow.
2) the game loads but the journal is empty and the world map is corrupt.

Is there way to correctly import the 1.2 save games into the 1.3 android beta?

    Does a new game work OK.

    & could you zip/attach a save with which you are having issues please.
