Winter Wolf pelts mystery

I have a weird condition where I was only able to sell one pelt to the merchant in Nashkel, at the initial 500g rate.

From then on, although any pelts in my inventory show as being worth 250g apiece (which is what I think the "non-inflated" rate is supposed to be), he will not buy them. They are greyed out.

I know that stacking was added with SCS, but am not sure what causes this behavior ... I assume it might be an "anti-cheese"/anti-farming feature, but it seem weird that I cannot sell them at all.

I noticed that in my last game. I wasn't sure which mod caused it though.

Its been awhile but I think with the wolf pelts you need to talk to him rather than use the store inventory to sell them. So exit out of the store and talk to him again. See if he offers to buy another pelt.

Nah, he does comment the first time you bring him a pelt, but nothing afterwards, and the items are greyed out during store transactions too.

He does mention that he'll only buy one pelt from you because he's only got one buyer. As I recall, I sold the rest of them in Baldur's Gate later on (not that the pitiful amount of gold you get by then is worth the weight)

SCS changes it to only let you sell one pelt to the merchant in Nashkel.

Thanks, mystery solved!

The Journal entry was also wonky, but seems to have eventually corrected itself. Looks like it's always been a trifle fussy.
