What happens with a Berserker and throwing axes?

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
I know a Kensai can notice throwing axes in this game.

What happens if a berserker (restricted to * with missile weapons) uses a throwing axe? If he has ***** in axe, does it still work with throwing axes?

    Yes, they are still considered axes.

    In terms of game balance, I don't like it, but in terms of flavor, it's just fine. I can just imagine a crazed berserker throwing axe after axe at his/her opponents.
