[Resolved] Can't access end game of Throne of Bhaal in pocket dimension.

I've completed the main quests, killed the five, passed all the tests in the pocket dimension (including defeating the ravager), and had my last romantic discussion with my LI. However when I click on the exit for the pocket dimension, it tells me "Your destiny is nearly complete." And I only have two options, stay or return to where I came from.

The only outstanding quest i have is defeating the eight staves (which I did complete but it didn't register). I've run the program in the background to burn game time and exhaust any outstanding conversations. But my last conversation with Jaheira keeps repeating (Jaheira: This appears to be close to the end of our journey. . .), though I've made progress on Sarevok's line of conversation, with alignment change, and Imoen's addition of Bhaalspawn powers.

I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this.

Edit: I should add I'm playing the Steam version on a PC running Windows 7.

2nd edit: I reinstalled the game, still no joy.
