[Not an Issue] After acquiring Jan Jansen

Hello,
hope I'm posting this in the proper channel. I just acquired Jan Jansen, and he has a yellow/orange circle under him. I thought this was supposed to indicate morale failure; although maybe because I just acquired him his morale has taken a hit?
I've just started playing for the first time, so maybe the answer is obvious.

    Hello
    His circles reflect his primary clothing colour. If you prefer, you can set this back from the Options screen using Gameplay > Feedback > Colored Markers.

    Oh wow, thanks. The colours for all my other characters are pretty muted compared to Jansen, so they all looked the same compared to his bright orange'ish hue.
