Refind saves after a levelup of Windows

Hi guys !

I'll be quick : my girlfriend made a levelup of her Windows 8 to 8.1, after it, she realized that the levelup deleted all her games files, also Baldur's Gate 2.

I tried to use Recuva to refind her saves, but i found nothing really important.


So, do you think all her saves has been definitly deleted, or it's possible to refind them, and if yes, how ?

    For Enhanced Edition the default location is in your documents > Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition > save folder. Updating from Windows 8 to 8.1 should not affect this location. If that's the case, did the user account change.

    The original Baldur's Gate series stored saves in a different location, am mentioning in case you/she have that version instead.
