Description:
1. Start new game
2. Choose any character
3.
C:CreateItem("MISC82",1)
C:CreateItem("MISC48",1)
C:MoveToArea("AR3900")
4. Go to x=2853, y=924
5. Speak with Ulcaster - he will take both items from you (and finish "Ghostly Knights in Firewine" and "Poe's Tale of Firewine" quests if they have been started)
6.
MoveToArea("AR4500")
7. Go to x=2813, y=1561
8. Speak to Poe - you will receive unsolved "Poe's Tale of Firewine" quest
9.
MoveToArea("AR5201")
10. Go to x=686, y=974
11. Speak to Ghost Knight - you will receive unsolved "Ghostly Knights in Firewine" quest

Observed
The Ghost Knights in the Firewine Ruins will re-give you the 'quest' for their undead fellow (and its armor) even if you just traded it with the Ulcaster ghost for the Vampiric Sword. Same problem with Poe's quest if you didn't speak to him before finishing the quest by either giving MISC82 to Ulcaster or Ghostly Knights.

Expected
You should not receive a new quest that can't be completed if you already finished this whole Ancient Armor story.

Note
This could be fixed for example by turning Ghost Knights hostile if you return the Armor to Ulcaster, so they won't give you a new quest. Also responses that starts "Poe's Tale of Firewine" quest could be filtered out if you already gave MISC82 to either Ghost Knights or traded it to Ulcaster.

Well, no, I disagree. Giving you the now-unfinishable quests after you've traded the relevant items for the Vampiric Sword is the game's way of telling you that you've failed those quests, because the "correct solution" was to give the Ancient Armor to the Ghost Knights instead of giving it to Ulcaster.

After all, the Vampiric Sword is a useless Easter Egg, nothing but a joke by the original devs. It's not a quest objective which you actually want to obtain ... except once, just to see it.

Even if Ulaster issue was intended by Bioware (it wasn't, the problem simply didn't exist in vanilla BG1 because there wasn't proper journal in vanilla game - once unsolved journal functionality has been added it became a problem) you still have second part of this report that is completly unrelated to Ulcaster easter-egg: if you do the quest "Ghostly Knights in Firewine" before talking to Poe you will receive unsolvable quest "Poe's Tale of Firewine" once you talk to him later. You think this is also not a bug? Common. The quest shouldn't go to unresolved tab in such case because the story for it has been already finished and you didn't fail it.

Agree - I have that the same problem... The situation is very probable if we go to the Firewine dungeon from Jenkal house or from temple in Gullykin.
