in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
The description says that damage is maximized for the duration of the effect. Does this include weapon effects like arrows of detonation?

    No, just the base die amount of the weapon. So for the Staff of the Ram +6, for instance, The base 1d6+12 would be maxed but not the +1d4 piercing.

    As for the Arrows of Detonation, nice try, but they don't even have a base damage die (Well, they do in BG1:EE but not in BG2:EE).
