I appreciate the information, @AndrewFoley - guess there's nothing to do but hope that Black Pits III comes out, possibly with SoD, and that sooner or later our party gets the happy ending they deserve.
That aside, I think you did an excellent job writing those other pit fighters we could interact with and the classic face/heel-style interactions with the crowd; the use of the sidequests to provide us with the chance to make the final battle easier was cleverly implemented as well.
