[1.2, BG2EE:ToB] Noises from Rasaad's Quest Don't Stop

Hi all,
After Alorgoth's death dialogue in the shadow plane, my game glitched and the quest wouldn't finish on its own. I was able to get it to finish (thanks from the dwarves, Rasaad, etc) and get on with the game by running
C:SetGlobal("OHM_FINALE","GLOBAL",24)
from the console.
However, one aspect of the shadow plane never stopped: the tendency for the game to draw whitish-purple emblems around the bases of my characters, with a similar appearance to the Power Word spells. It doesn't hurt the gameplay at all, but the animation-- especially the sound-- is extremely distracting. Does anyone know how to fix this?
The only clue I have is that it doesn't seem to be happening to Anomen at all, and he was the only one I didn't have control over when I left the shadow plane.
