sold the tome to candlekeep

after i received the tome from eltan to get back into candlekeep, i hung around, did a few more quests and must have sold the tome somewhere while unloading treasure. i believe i went back to all the shops in baldur's gate city and i can't find it. could a shopkeep not have all the stuff i sold him previously? if so, is there another way around this or do i have to go back to my previous save, which i regret, is WAY back? uuuuuuuugh thank you in advance!

Close the game. Activate the console - follow the instructions in the OP here: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/8317/general-bgee-customization/p1

Open the game, load your recent save.

Then hit Ctrl+Space in-game and type:

C:CreateItem("BOOK68",1)

This will give you the needed book.

Also, you can teleport inside Candlekeep using CTRL+J
