    @yamcha how could you denie the adorable little kitten? you monster!

    Anyway jokes aside currently a avenger is as close as we can get to a real druid/mage.
    But i rather have a real druid/mage (even though the avenger kit is awesome!)
    I want my mage be able to cast insect plague and other druid only spells xd

    Edit: This doesn't mean the devs are in the clear though they will answer to the adorable kitten and officially release a druid/mage multiclass ( atleast i hope so whahahaha)

    Avenger is an awesome kit (though I do miss my Studded Leather)! I've got a spell revision type mod that adds a bunch of IWD spells to both arcane and divine spell lists (IWDification I think). It really helps beef up the nature based spells my Avenger slings around. She now really does feel like a walking avatar of destruction, protecting Nature from those evil orcs and dragons.

    There was a geomantic sorcerer kit, a sorcerer with druidic spells added, and he even got unique, cool hlas like raging hurricane storms or armageddon style meteor rains. An ee compatible version has been released as well, IIRC.

    I always wanted to try that kit but I didn't know that an EE version has been released, thanks @lunar
    Do you know where we can download it?

    @Gotural http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=716 (for Windows)

    Edit: wait nvm, you wanted EE compatible, dont think this is it

    Edit 2: There's a few links in G3 forums that supposedly have beta versions for EE, try them out http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=12196&page=13

    Just open up all multi and dual class combinations

    @FinneousPJ one of my mods removes race/class restrictions. Playing a Dwarf F/M/T right now and she's a beast. But I'd still love to be able to try other class combos that aren't currently allowed, like Druid/XX

    The Mage/Druid and the Fighter/Mage/Druid are the only multi-class combinations allowed by the AD&D Player's Handbook that aren't present in Baldur's Gate. I would love to see that before any other 3E-inspired kit or class.

    Half-elves can be a druid/ranger as well (though due to a typo it didn't get an asterisk indicating this in the list of combinations).

    "A half-elf can choose to be a cleric,
    druid, fighter, ranger, mage, specialist wizard, thief, or bard. In addition, a half-elf can
    choose from the following multi-class combinations: cleric (or druid)/fighter, cleric (or
    druid)/fighter/mage, cleric (or druid)/ranger, cleric (or druid)/mage, fighter/mage,
    fighter/thief, fighter/mage/thief, and mage/thief."

    @Pteran That's what I mean. I want Fighter/Bard so bad.

    My first pnp game I was a ranger/mage. It was an illegal combination, but the DM liked the concept so he allowed it. I would love to be able to play a character like this again in pnp, but 3e rangers are terrible. I hate them. And it's not possible in BG right now.

    @subtledoctor maybe this mod of yours could open up the door to this combination as well...? Look at the kitten!

    Just to add to my previous comment about ranger/mages in vanilla BG1, I looked into it some more and found some other fun combinations:

    Ranger/Thief
    image

    Paladin/Necromancer!
    image

    Well, fun from a roleplay perspective anyway. You can probably tell they're functionally just dual-classed fighters under a different name, although I'm still surprised there could be such a thing as a Lawful Good Fallen Paladin-Necromancer. No such thing as Fallen Paladin-Thief though, because of alignment restrictions :(

    I'm getting a bit off-topic here, but I actually prefer the way the original game handled rangers and paladins losing their status. I like that there could be benefits as well costs to giving up and abandoning a class, since when they become fighters they essentially gain an extra weapon slot and lose any of their old item restrictions as well as their old abilities...

    Interesting. And there was no way to regain your ranger or paladin status. I wonder what it would take to do this in bg2.

    Would the name change from ranger to thief? Dude, I would give you my left arm (not my right, cause I need that to play) if I could have a "ranger"/Mage. I would prefer not fallen. Perhaps even a fighter kit could be name ranger, a fighter kit with stealth abilities. Then dual that to Mage.
    There really isn't that much of a difference between fighters and Rangers mechanically anyway.

    Changing the class name is simple enough (all kits do that already), but I don't think adding extra buttons (like stealth) is possible yet. Special abilities and two extra pips in two weapon style should be doable.

    Edit: Actually I'm just gonna shut up, I'm not actually a modder, and since @subtledoctor is already giving far more expert advice than my educated guesses on what is and isn't possible I'm just going to hide in the corner for a while instead :)

    Hehe, I'm so glad I'd already amended my last comment with "I'm gonna stop talking about stuff I have no clue about" before I got corrected by @subtledoctor :)
