Version 2 beta and SoD

Just a quick question. Does everyone who is testing the beta have to revert to the normal release of the game to install Siege of Dragonspear?

    The patch will be out of beta before SoD is out, so the 'normal' release and the 'beta' will be the same thing.

    Yes I'm aware of that. But if you are in the Beamdog client the Beta and regular releases are seem as different software. So my question is do I have to download the regular version as well or will it recognize my beta channel install?

    You'll likely get a small update after the beta ends to convert you from the beta to the normal version, and you'll enter a new beta when one becomes available.

    That's a good question; I'll have to ask our programmers how it's going to work. My gut tells me that you'll need to install the "live" version, but I don't know for sure.
