Do I need to update my BG:EE client before playing Dragonspear.

Also do the mods I installed in BGEE carry over to Dragonspear?

    No, just install SOD.
    Please note that all the mods will be removed. Also, I strongly suggest you to play with a clean installation because right now mods are not fully compatible with SOD.
