[Mac] Getting original BG1 casting voices into the EEs?

Well, Siege got me into finishing my BGEE run and I thought I could finally get the BG1 "ominous chanting" casting voices over the BG2 pigdin latin ones... Alas, in spite of a thorough search and 2 mods claiming to do just that, I'm still stuck with the sorta latin.

1) I started with the Infinity Sounds weidu compatible mod (http://www.shsforums.net/topic/57197-infinity-sounds/), following the instructions posted here using the mac easy installer and mac binary weidu... only to get a "event not found" error in terminal. So, no go.

2) Figuring out that I only want the casting voices, and reading this: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/8060/mod-original-casting-sounds I thought I might get away with simply dropping the files very kindly edited and remastered by @Tash from the unpacked Infinity Sounds to the Override folder (inside the package, in the Resources folder)... but that seems to not be working, either.

Is this a user related error, am I overlooking something, or is this something that will simply not work on mac versions of BGEE or BG2EE (or SoD)? Any ideas how to sort this out? For some reason this has become a key issue for my enjoyment of the game (I've hated the "new" ones since bg2 came out), and I'd really appreciate if anyone more familiar with the workings of the EEs could give me a hand!

BR,

Nepethe

Right, my terminal-fu was rusty, so figured out the initial glitch in option 1) - had to add a \ before the ! in the filename. Now this didn't help at all, as the installer skips. Doing a reread, it seems the mod is for BG2 only, which explains it. Oh well.

Now I can focus on the second part. Why dropping the seemingly correct "CAS_PM1M.wav" etc. files into override or the applicable "sounds" directory does nothing. Any ideas?
