Staff of the Magi question

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hello friends. I was wondering: does the invisibility effect from equipping the Staff of the Magi stop you from getting banters? I've noticed NPCs going around me to talk to my followers when I'm invisible, will my followers also not see me and therefore not initiate dialogues?

    I think that if your character is invisible (from the SotM including), he can only talk to those who can see invisible creatures. Party members are not like that, so they don't talk to you if they can't see you.
