Need some good halfling names

cbarchukcbarchuk Member Posts: 322
I'm playing a halfling assassin and for the life of me I can't come up with a cool sounding name. A good name really helps me role play. So far most of the halfling names I've come across sound corny or stupid. Does anyone have any suggestions for a male halfling rogue type name?

I named my female halfling assassin Yvjn. Is that baffling enough?

Put your own name backwards. In bg1, Sarevok's henchman mage Semaj is simply James reversed.

Thanks for pointing out my accidental spelling error. My name backwards doesn't sound good though the idea can be good.
  • I've used "Reeve" as a Halfling name before. Also Carston. I feel like vaguely lower class/rural British names fit Halflings well.

I like the suggestions so far. On my IWD run I wanted a halfling bounty hunter with a bit of flair. And thus was born Baron von Shortstuff, from a wealthy halfling family in Waterdeep.

How about some British sounding street tough names. Biggs, Spike, Dodger, Fagen, Shiv, Georgie, Nobby, Willy, Bob.

@cbarchuk how do you find the new assassin poison weapon and potential weaponry?

I think the poison weapon ability has been nerfed. I like the level scaling but it's weaker overall. I've been taking my time with game so I'm not very far into it.. The only weapon I've got, that's new, for my assassin is that new throwing dart. I think it's called 'The Biter'.

Pretty sure the OP found a suitable name for his halfling sometime during the last 4 1/2 years... ?

Maybe. Or maybe there's no such thing as "enough" or "too many" halfling names, just to be sure.
Because after all, these little fellas are awesome at savin' some day or... well... stabbin' some back or... whatever you like ;)
