Spider Cave in Forest of Wyrms

I'm in the Spider Cave in the Forest of Wyrms, killed all the spiders and I noticed when I took the last eggs from the room on the left a load of Beetles arrive at the cave entrance. So I laid some traps at the entrance with Safana and buffed up ready for the fight but now when I take the eggs the Beetles don't arrive. Is it the traps that has triggered this, if so how can I get rid of traps or how can I get the Beetles to arrive? Any help appreciated.

    I don't think so, I can't get the beetles to reappear for some reason and I didn't lay any traps.

    I'm having the same problem: I can't get the beetles to appear. I've tried looting the eggs, dropping them, etc., etc., with no luck. Does anyone have insight as to why this is happening? Bug, maybe?

    This is covered in Part VII of my walkthrough, but I neglected to mention the trigger. Someone on my blog asked, too, so I've since updated that section to make it clearer.

    The trigger for the rhino beetle spawn is around x=230, y=720 (westernmost spider nest, just south of a "Web" proximity trap). Walk over it to make the bugs appear. Just in case your spawn it jinxed, the item code for the rhino beetle shell is BDMISC66.

    I'm not having any luck with the beetles. I initially didn't know about them so after killing all the spiders I picked all the loot including the eggs and nothing ever showed and i left to find the next cave. After reading about these beetles I went bck with the eggs, tried going to that west room and try to trigger it but no matter how many times or how much area i trampled hoping to trigger it, the beetles never showed. *shrug*.
