About BGEEInstaller.exe - does it install a specific version, or the latest version?

@Dee (for example :smile: )
Just thought of something: I have the BGEEinstaller.exe file which I used to install BGEE on my laptop at work in October 2015. Can I use this to install v. 1.3 again, or does the installer automatically retrieve the latest version?

See this thread for background.

    "...and people rushed to him, eager to help. "
    Sorry for being somewhat sarcastic.

    Well, I uninstalled BGEE and ran the installer (from October 2015) again, and can confirm the installer retrieves the latest version. So we're barred quite effectively from reverting to 1.3.20xx.

    I have bought BGEE, BG2EE and IWDEE for both Windows and Android legally in order to be able to play on both PC and Android, directly from Beamdog. But when they decide to screw up my game(s ) and don't even answer when I raise a support ticket I think it's quite clear what their stance is.

    Piracy is strictly against the site rules and is not encouraged here.

    The installer offers to install the latest update, but it's up to the player if he wishes to install it or not.

    You can ask for a Steam key through support@beamdog.com, and then in Steam use the version 1.3.

    Why should I have to ask for a Steam key when I'm a Beamdog customer (and was until recently quite a happy one at that!), and never have had any plans on becoming a Steam user?
    Actually, that's like me buying a car from Ford and when that runs into trouble because Ford's mechanics do something I didn't ask them to, Ford asks me to go to BMW for help instead. Does that make sense? No?
