If a person is cis for the sole purpose of being cis, this is as much a problem. (but that doesn't exist, as right now that would make no sense)

As you stated, there is a transphobic agenda, but character that are fake and just exist for the sole purpose of pushing transphobic views onto you are pretty rare. And they are, of course, a problem too. (they are of course even more a problem since they support terrible views instead of good ones ^^" )

(As I re-read my message il feel I must say the fact I dont think you are a troll or something. My message can be very hard I think, english is not my mother tongue and I have really very hard time to evaluate the weight of the words I use, cause this subject is I think as hard for me that it's for you to talk. Very sorry if I sayed something that hurt you. Not my intention)

I think the problem is : our society are totally fill with trans erasure. And it make most of people are in fact filling the transphobic agenda in this way. I'm not saying it's intentionnal, no more saying it make the people who do that monsters, but the outcome doesn't change. Intentionnal or unintentionnal trans erasure lead the same thing: filling a mostly unconscously share transphobic view of our world. And THAT pretty political. Intentionnaly or not.

And yes in our world it take a conscious act to write a trans character. So yes ALL trans character (or mostly LGBT characters) are write with in mind the fact they have to face LGBT erasure and LGBTphobic return, you can't write a LGBT character without thinking of that. So yes it's always a "political" choice to write a LGBT character. Even me who are trans and live in a strangely very LGBT full group I have to do that, and consciously. And it's sad. But it's not the writer fault if they have to face all this decision that make write a LGBT character is political and write a CisStraightFirstRoleDude is not.

Let's be real. If the only problem you have is that it was a conscious choice for the writers to write a LGBT character have to manage in the writing the fact political issues will come you dont have a problem with the writer. You have a problem with the world and the LGBT erasure.

The fact writing a LGBT character are a political statement and write StraightCis are not is the problem. But untill writers face the same (not strangely numberous, sadly) asshole it will always be a "political and conscious choice". Because we all see the shitstorm that came in the writers face and the assholes will always remind us that our mere existence can be a subject of debate.

And you can't avoid or ignore assholes. Because they are really well trained in being assholes and they always find multiples way to hurt you, your carrier, your public face, etc, etc.

So yeah, that sad but writing LBGT characters are political. Choosing not writing should be one to but it's not. And I'm totally confortable with the fact of writing LGBT characters, because I care about diversity. I don't even know why I (and everybody else) should have be ashamed of that.

(Last message for me on this thread. I think I'll reach my english limit more than twice in this message. And I don't have really more to say on this subject. Or nothing I can say by writing on a forum in another language)
