Baldur's Gate 2: EE Keeper?

Hello!

Just wondering. If I change minor stuffs with EE Keeper in Baldur's Gate 2, are there any known bugs or anything like that that might occur because of the changes with EE Keeper?

Regards!

EEKeeper is fairly resilient, but it's entirely possible to screw things up. It all depends on what it is you want to do, and how you do it. If you have specific questions, it might be best to just ask. EEKeeper is a powerful tool, but it is also fairly easy and intuitive to use for most things. As long as you know what you are doing, there is very little that can go wrong that isn't fixed with a click or two.

Well... Basicly I lowered the amount of HP of my main character aswell as added a few spells in his spellbook (start a new game in BG2: EE and you got like 3 level 4 spells...?). That's all. Nothing more.

My question is if those changes might cause bugs in the game further on?

E.g. buggings in the dialoges or anything like that. I don't know... Just taking precautions by asking around... :-)

Adding spells is fine, adding spell slots is a different thing and can be a bit tricky to understand—it won't cause any particular issue within the game itself, but slots will be reset when you level up. Slots are defined in a table. You can, however, add slots via the bonus slot modifier opcode under the Effects tab. This will ensure the spell slots remain after levelling up.

(Idon't currently have all the opcodes in front of me, otherwise I'd specify the opcode number and name).

This is very unlikely to happen with most things you can do in EEKeeper. If you don't touch the general and local variables (and there is little reason to unless you know exactly what you are doing) then you are 99.9% safe from any sort of game-breaking bug.

the only bugs that I remember getting ( and this was back in the vanilla bg2 days) was if I made my sprite look like BG 1's sarevok, the game would crash if I attacked, and in BG 1 if I made my guy look like sarevok, he would never show a proper weapon animation unless it was SW2H05, anything else, and the weapon would be floating beside him ( probably because the game was thinking that I was using a normal sprite)

Sprite changes are problematic in general, with many shapes missing animations, and large sprites being unable to go through humanoid-sized doorways.

did you know that jon irenicus attack has an attack animation but never uses it in game, 99 times out of 100 when I make a monk, I always use the jon irenicus sprite for my monk
