[Fixed] Documents folder missing?? mac - cant save

Please help i just dropped money on this and cant even start a game. Crashes whenever it auto saves (beginning of the game) etc. heres the error report. PLEASE help me i cant find any information on the issue in the forums...

    I just bought bgee 2 and when i went to start it, first the pits and then the regular game, neither would open. The regular game started but crashed after dialogue with imoen. Here is the crash report...
    Please help me out! i cant even use the product.

    It sounds as if it could be an issue when trying to make the initial autosave. Are you able to check whether the documents folder for the game exists and has appropriate permissions. & if you haven't restarted since installing, that is worth trying.

    @Illydth may be able to offer more specific advice for Mac.

    This seems to be correct to some point, I have a bgee2 file in my documents but not a folder like the original bgee. Also, I cannot pregenerate characters in bgee2, and game crashes when i attempt to save the character.

    Is there a "Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition" folder in your Documents folder, or possibly an alias (icon with an arrow on it)?

    Try deleting or renaming the BGII:EE file

    theres an alias, but it cant find the original. Im no tech expert

    That's fine - just delete or rename it and the game will create a new folder.

    Ok, delete the alias and create a folder with the name "Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition" (without the quotes)
